The fatal collision occurred around 4:05 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 101 and Highway 80 in Greer. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Jim was traveling eastbound on Highway 80 when a westbound Chevrolet sedan attempted to make a left turn onto Highway 101, resulting in a collision. Jim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the sedan sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital; their current condition has not been disclosed.
